 Biography

Michael Andrew “Mick” Simpson (born November 14, 1965, Rotherham, Yorkshire, England) is a British blues/rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He began his musical career in the early 1980s as a session guitarist in London, with his songs receiving airplay on BBC Radio 1’s "Friday Rock Show" hosted by Tommy Vance.

During the 1990s, he worked as a session guitarist for artists such as John Parr, contributing to the Man with a Vision album. His music was also featured in movies like The Running Man and Three Men and a Baby. He has performed or recorded with major artists including Bill Wyman (Rolling Stones), Roger Waters (Pink Floyd), Tina Turner, Bryan Adams, and Go West.

In 2004, Simpson won the International Songwriters Award with his track “A Father’s Son,” which received notable airplay. He also released “Looking Through My Eyes” to raise awareness for autism.

In June 2005, he was invited to perform as a guest at B.B. King’s 80th birthday celebration in New York. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with legendary guitarists such as Gary Moore, Snowy White, and Alvin Lee.

Gary B.B. Coleman

About, Gary B.B. Coleman, Coleman was born in Paris, Texas. He was working alongside Freddie King by the age of 15. He later supported Lightnin' Hopkins in concert and went on to form his own group. At this time he started simultaneously booking acts into nightclubs across three states, Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. This dual lifestyle in the Southwest continued for nearly twenty years. In 1985, he created his own independent record label, Mr. B's Records, and issued a single, "One Eyed Woman", and his debut album, Nothin' but the Blues, the following year. The album proved to be popular. Ichiban Records signed Coleman to a recording contract and duly re-released Nothin' but the Blues on its label in 1987.
